Advisory about date changes on Qatar Sale tickets

During the spring, there were numerous sales from Houston, NYC, and Washington. We are advising passengers that date change penalties are extremely high and suggest that you avoid date changes. Tickets that would cost between USD 1500-1850 were discounted to USD 1100-1450.

For these tickets, the date change cost is between USD 250–350 and any other fare differences. Because many of the sale seats from the sale category are sold out for flights originating in Kathmandu during the summer, Qatar needs to provide a seat upgrade; the cost for a date change is costing upwards of USD 600-700.
