Kathmandu (TIA) airport taxes included in airline ticket prices

Travelers from Kathmandu are no longer required to pay airport taxes in Kathmandu after March 1, 2009.  These taxes are automatically collected during the time of the ticket purchase. This rule is applicable for tickets originating from other countries as well.

For tickets issued before March 1, passengers will need to pay the taxes at the airport office before attaining a boarding pass.

You can find out whether the taxes have been paid or not by asking your travel agent or the airline.
