Paragliding

n. An adventure sport, in which a person jumps or runs from high place wearing a wide, rectangular, steerable parachute.

The first and only paragliding company in the valley, Kathmandu Paragliding offers a once in a lifetime experience. We offer tandem flights, which means you will be flying with an experienced pilot. There are daily trips to Lakhure Bhanjyang, which is an hour and a half outside of Kathmandu, and price includes transportation (for three or more people) from Thamel to the take off site, lunch, flight, and transportation back. We will reschedule you when there are less than two people.

Two types of flights are offered. First is the Black Kite Flight, which runs between 20 and 30 minutes. The second flight Kathmandu Paragliding offers is the Eagle Flight. This flight lasts a breath taking 45-60 minutes.

Because of weather conditions, no paragliding is scheduled during the months of June – August. We will reschedule the event in case the weather conditions don’t permit safe flight.

Requirements

All Nepali participants are required to complete an accidental and liability waiver form. A lightjacket, closed toed shoes, long pants, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera. Participants should be in good physical shape and not weigh over 260 pounds and an adult must accompany all minors’.

10:00AM Safety talk and preparations for flight

10:00-2:00PM Flights (depending upon # of clients and type of flight)
